Share Accommodation - Things You Must Know

Accommodation is always a thing of worry for students and people coming from outside the city to study in a school/college or boarding. There are many outstation students studying in various universities overseas. Despite of world class infrastructure and research facilities, many universities fall short in giving a decent accommodation facility to its all students. This many times makes students feel insecure. In extreme cases, some of them are not even able to concentrate on their studies.

It is often observed that staying as a paying guest in some cities in the world is very costly. Sometimes, the cost of accommodation is even greater than the course fee of students. In such situations, students and their parents are advised to settle for share accommodation. This is a very popular practice in which a person shares a room with another roommate. In cities and towns, where renting a room is very costly, share accommodation is very common to see. However, there are many problems associated with it-the first and the foremost being finding a good roommate.
There are many kinds of people and students in this world. Some students are drug addicts. Others are alcoholic. Therefore, utmost care should be taken in selecting a good roommate while going for sharing an accommodation. If by any chance, your ideas do not meet with those of your roommate, you should first have a moderate talk with him/her over the issue. Tell them the kind of person you are, your likes and even your dislikes. This will also help your roommate to understand you better and to adjust according to the situation. Everybody has to adjust and get accustomed to the new situations in life and sharing a room is no exception here.

The rent of accommodation should also be equally distributed among all the roommates. This is to ensure that no misunderstanding arises between you and them regarding the rent. Any misunderstanding in this regard may lead to serious disputes. So, it's better to be on the safe side and have open dialogues to make things open and transparent.
